3:10 to Yuma Trailer Starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale
Maybe you’ve seen this already, or maybe you haven’t, but the western is most definitely back in style again with James Mangold’s remake of the 1957 film 3:10 to Yuma. The original starred Glenn Ford and Van Heflin, while the remake has Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Not a bad trade off. I was about to comment on the fact that James Mangold seemed a bit ill-suited for directing something like this after doing Walk The Line (which I liked) and Identity (which I didn’t), but then I saw Cop Land on his resume as well, and hey, that’s all the convincing I need. The trailer looks solid at any rate, and I’ll probably be there to see it on October 5th. So does this mean Warner Bros are finally going to get their act together and release the Brad Pitt western The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford?
