This movie exposed coruption in the late 60’s as coruption in law enforcement stands today. Ex DEA agents are trying to sue the filmakers and sponsers for basing a movie on a true story. They are embarresed about how there roles look on film and want more money because, millions of people were exposed to what role the corrupt system plays in the drug world. It’s all about making money.

Russell Crowe is a cool guy… He got a bad rap for getting pissed off at people who were probably assholes towards him anyway. Who wouldn’t get annoyed with people shouting “Are you not entertained!?” at them every chance they got? Come on…

Last movie I saw Denzel in was Inside Man and he was fucking brilliant in that. If he can bring the humor from movies like Inside Man, Philadelphia and The Manchurian Candidate it could be good.

I haven’t seen Cinderella Man, no.

To be honest I do think Russell Crowe is a decent actor, but lately with all his arrogant antics in real life, I get the feeling that people would relate to him more as a villain. But I actually can’t remember the last time he played a bad guy.

What’s wrong with Russell Crowe as a good guy? Have you not seen Cinderella Man? He’s an excellent actor, he does what the role requires and becomes the character. He looks completely different in American Gangster as compare to his character in A Good Year (very underrated movie btw). Anyway, this looks like another topnotched performances from Crowe and Washington. I can’t wait for November 2nd.

i think it looks great. Denzel is either hot or cold. I personally liked Man on Fire and Training Day. This looks like it could be just as good as those movies.

I had the same feeling about the three big names involved, they’ve all made stinkers but this one looks like one of the good ones.

Looks like Oscar bait to me but I’m interested.

This might be a good crime movie and all but I’d really like to see Scott get involved with a good sci-fi project.

Personally I disliked Training Day and the fact that he won an Oscar for that role. Denzel just bothers me in a lot of movies, but I have come to accept him in the righteous cop role more than any other.

I dunno, this could be very good. To me, one of Denzel’s best roles ever was a “bad guy” in Training Day.
