I’m always somewhat reluctant to be a publicity whore around these parts… for example, I can’t stand pestering people to vote for us on Podcast Alley every month, but it’s sort of a necessary evil and I suppose every little bit helps. Since our friend Henrik was nice enough to nominate us for a few of the categories over at the Blogger’s Choice Awards, I thought I would pass the word along in case you were interested in helping to promote Film Junk. He has put us up for the following categories: Best Entertainment Blog, Best Podcast, Best Geek Blog and Best Pop Culture Blog. Out of those categories, I think Best Pop Culture Blog is probably the best fit, so if you’re only going to vote once I recommend picking that one.

Now I should add, that I don’t really “get” the Blogger’s Choice Awards and I’m a bit suspicious of the fact that voting has been going on almost indefinitely (the official deadline isn’t until October). It seems like the whole thing’s just a clever ploy to get other blogs to send traffic over to their site. They even make you sign up for an account before you can cast a vote. Okay, so I’m probably not doing a good job of selling you on this. Film Junk needs your support! Head over there and cast your votes now!
