MTV Movie Awards Add User-Generated Spoof Category
Looks like the gap between the Oscars and the MTV Movie Awards just got a little bit bigger. In years past, the MTV Movie Awards have been known for their funny short parodies of popular films, and now this year they’ve decided to recruit help from the internet. In other words, it’s about to get bad… really bad. They’ve created a new user-generated award category for Best Spoof, and they are now accepting short spoof videos via the MTV Movie Awards official website. The winner will receive a coveted golden popcorn trophy, just like the ones the real movie stars get! So far they’ve got a great line-up of contenders that include The Defarted, Final Constipation 3, and An Inconvenient Borat. They are also accepting short video clips of yourself at home applauding, to be edited into the broadcast apparently. To check out all the funny vids, head over the MTV Movie Awards website, linked below. The MTV Movie Awards are being hosted by Sarah Silverman, and will air on Sunday, June 3rd.
