Bratz: The Movie Trailer… Just As Bad As You Think It Is
Like OMG, remember last year when we reported that there was a live action movie in the works based on the popular Bratz dolls? Well now there’s like totally a trailer online for the damn thing! 4 Real. It’s a complex and artistic portrayal of the social pressures faced by adolescents in the school environment, examining a variety of subcultures including the skaters, the jocks, the nerds, the “disco dorks”, and the loners. I only wish we could have more movies that tackle important issues like this. Apparently Paula Abdul even makes an appearance and I’ve been hearing some Oscar buzz, although she’s nowhere to be seen in the trailer. Obviously they don’t want to spoil all the best scenes ahead of time though. What can I say? Director Sean McNamara has his fingers on the pulse of a generation. Bratz: The Movie hits theatres on August 10th… which means Rush Hour 3 and Stardust are in for a world of hurt.
