Ain’t It Cool News managed to get their hands on what appears to be a near final revision of the international poster for Michael Bay’s Transformers, and for the most part it just combines some of the artwork we’ve already seen before.

AICN mentions the poster’s similarity to Deep Impact, but the thing I found interesting is just how much it reminded me of some of the posters for Spielberg’s War of the Worlds. As if the tag line “Their War. Our World.” wasn’t enough, just take a look at that international War of the Worlds poster that I found. The quote at the top even mentions War of the Worlds beside Spielberg’s name. Could they be any more blatant? I guess it’s a smart move marketing though. If they want to convince people that this isn’t a movie based on a kid’s cartoon, they need to play up the disaster element as much as possible.
