U.S. Trailer for Paris Je T’aime

There have been plenty of short film anthology collaborations in the past, movies that combine multiple stories from different directors into a single whole. But has there ever been a movie that packs this much A-List talent onto the screen at once? Paris Je T’aime (Paris I Love You) features 18 segments from directors that include Gus Van Sant, The Coen Brothers, Alfonso Cuarón, Alexander Payne, Tom Tykwer and yes even Wes Craven, with appearances from Natalie Portman, Elijah Wood, Nick Nolte, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Steve Buscemi, Willem Dafoe, Juliette Binoche, Rufus Sewell, Bob Hoskins and Miranda Richardson. Hey, I’m sold already, but why not head over to Moviefone and give the new domestic trailer a look? Although it remains to be seen how well the various stories will connect (obviously “love” is the central theme), at the very least it’s clear that this is going to be an absolutely stunning piece of work from a visual standpoint. Paris Je T’aime hits select theatres on May 4th.

  1. This was released on DVD today. I am interested in some of the directors (Alexander Payne!) but 18 segments seems pretty overkill. It’s less than 10 minutes pr segment, so it’s probably not worth it. Not to mention having to sit through plenty of directors that you don’t really care about.
