Well, another day, another Heath Ledger Joker photo proven to be a hoax. This whole fan Photoshop thing is getting a little out of hand, to the point where whenever they finally do release an official still I don’t think anyone will believe it. Blogs and message boards have been on fire this week analyzing a couple of alleged leaked photos from Batman: The Dark Knight that were posted on Ain’t It Cool News, both of which turned out to be fake. In some ways I guess it makes for interesting discussion, but after browsing a few of the forums I am a little frightened by just how much people were obsessing over such a silly little thing. I mean, even if it was real, it certainly was nothing more than a test photo, and yet people were seemingly losing sleep over the fact that it didn’t meet their vision of what The Joker should be. At any rate, the person responsible for this latest manipulation job has come clean and revealed their source material. You can read the post over at the SuperHeroHype forums.
