Trailer for Frank Oz Comedy Death at a Funeral
We all know Frank Oz as the voice behind Yoda and many of our favourite muppets, but did you know that he also has an impressive number of directorial credits under his belt? I have to admit, I feel a little foolish for not knowing that he had directed so many movies outside of The Dark Crystal and a few Muppets projects. We’re talking about comedy classics like Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and What About Bob?, not to mention Bowfinger, The Score, and the remake of The Stepford Wives! Now he has a new comedy on the way called Death at a Funeral, and it seems to be generating to some great early buzz.
Death at a Funeral is a dark comedy about a dysfunctional family who gathers for the funeral of a beloved relative, the father of Daniel (Matthew Macfadyen) and Robert (Rupert Graves). When a man shows up at the funeral and threatens to reveal a dark secret about the deceased, Daniel and Robert must figure out a way to keep him quiet. For all you Firefly fans, yes that is Alan Tudyk (Wash) in the movie as well, and this looks to be a great fit for his talents. Death at a Funeral hits theatres on June 29th; check out the trailer at the official site (linked below).

How could you forget that he directed “Bowfinger” and “The Score” (we’ll forget “The Stepford Wives” debacle)?
Regardless, this looks pretty darn funny!
