Crispin Glover to Star in The I Scream Man
Crispin Glover is a pretty weird dude. He’s probably best known as Marty McFly’s meek father George in Back To The Future, but he has also starred in numerous smaller roles over the years (modern audiences also know him from the Charlie’s Angels movies) and appeared in a lot of fringe underground flicks too. Now more than ever people are starting to realize the camp appeal that he has, and the strange over the top intensity that he brings to his acting. First time writer/director J.T. Mollner is hoping to take advantage of this by casting him in the lead role of his upcoming horror film The I Scream Man.
As you can probably guess, the movie is about a psychotic ice cream vendor that goes on a killing spree in a small town… obviously it’s the kind of movie where the entire creative process started with the title and the rest was merely a matter of filling in the blanks. Still, with Crispin Glover as the main focus, it sounds like it could be fun. The cast also includes Tom Sizemore and Judd Nelson, with a planned cameo from George A. Romero. J.T. Mollner’s previous credits include an appearance in Passions as “Hot Cowboy”, so I definitely think this is the right man to bring such a complex and multifaceted story to the big screen (or should I say, small screen, as it seems tailor-made for a direct to DVD release).

this looks good, i definitely still think that Glover should have been the Joker in the next Batman.
