Monday Morning Box Office Report: April 16, 2007
Spielberg’s prodigal son Shia LaBeouf proved his box office worth this weekend as Disturbia pulled in a tidy $23 million to dethrone Blades of Glory, which dropped to second. Bruce Willis and Halle Berry generated $11.5 million with Perfect Stranger, while Marcus Nispel’s Pathfinder made just $4.8 million, good enough for 6th place. Grindhouse placed 10th, and in fact according to some counts even fell out of the top 10 this weekend, which isn’t good news for the Weinsteins. Time to take evasive action!
1. Disturbia — $23M
2. Blades of Glory — $14.1M
3. Meet the Robinsons — $12.1M
4. Perfect Stranger — $11.5M
5. Are We Done Yet? — $9.2M
6. Pathfinder — $4.8M
7. Wild Hogs — $4.64M
8. The Reaping — $4.57M
9. 300 — $4.32M
10. Grindhouse — $4.24M

No Aqua Teen. So much for no such thing as bad press. From what I’ve heard it’s really not pandering to people outside of it’s fan base so I as a fan will expect to like.
