I don't get the Batman reference though, are they really expecting this to become a major hit franchise? Unless by 'reinvent' they mean 'change and dumb down'. There is a reason it hasn't worked on film so far. Watching somebody think on screen fucking sucks. Reading thoughts in a book works excellently. I also read that this movie would feature some of Holmes' lesser known skills like boxing and sword fighting. So we're gonna get an edgy action-hero movie with a franchise name slapped onto it. This is frustrating. Just read the fucking books, people? They aren't very long, most of them are actually comprised of short stories. That aside, playing Sherlock Holmes would fucking kick ass. At least the Sherlock Holmes in the novels, which I'm sure will have nothing in common with the one in this new edgy Batman Begins-esque movie. The next piece of news is that it's going to be set in the modern day I'm sure, or even the future like the Batman movie. I love Sherlock Holmes.
