Monday Morning Box Office Report: Feb. 26, 2007
Well apparently bad reviews and bad word of mouth did not discourage people from continuing to see Ghost Rider, as it topped the box office for the second week in a row. The Joel Schumacher/Jim Carrey thriller The Number 23 put up some decent “numbers” with just under $15 million, while Reno 911!: Miami earned 4th place with a respectable $10.4 million. The other new release for the weekend, The Astronaut Farmer, failed to attract much of an audience, placing 9th and earning just $4.5 million. Did you see anything this weekend?
1. Ghost Rider — $19.7M
2. The Number 23 — $14.9M
3. Bridge to Terabithia — $13.6M
4. Reno 911!: Miami — $10.4M
5. Norbit — $9.74M
6. Music and Lyrics — $8M
7. Breach — $6.16M
8. Daddy’s Little Girls — $5.25M
9. The Astronaut Farmer — $4.51M
10. Amazing Grace — $4.3M

i love that this is still #1. this must be burning all those armchair critics and fans yelling it will suck. sure the movie wasn’t all that great, but it was a good escape from reality and a really good B movie.
Posted by ghost rider sideshow collectibles on February 26th, 2007This surprises me a bit. I thought for sure one of the new releases would take top spot.
