I think the tag-line is pretty funny.

Not to turn this into a Star Wars bashing / defending forum, but I remember the first time I saw Star Wars in 1977. And I wasn't in awe. I had seen it during a summer holidays visit to Toronto. It hadn't come to my small hometown, yet, so none of my friends had seen it. I don't remember it generating much enthusiasm that summer in my hometown so I didn't experience any external hoopla.

I didn't think the special effects were any better than 2001: A Space Odyssey's effects. I was/still am a full-fledged geek, so I was appreciative of having a science-fiction film in the theatres. And yes, I was hooked into Luke's heroic quest. But I still hate C3-P0 and R2-D2.

I was/still am a full fledged Trekkie (not Trekker), so maybe I was jealous that Star Wars made it to the silver screen before Star Trek.

Tribute flicks tend to creep me out, because I can see myself mirrored in the people in these flicks. It's never pleasing to have to face reality.

And yes, I have a Jawa sandcrawler load of Star Wars crap, so call me a hypocrite.

Maybe for me, seeing Star Wars was like having sex, as this tribute film tag-line alludes to. The first time is usually awful, but with repetition comes appreciation. But I still don't really appreciate it. Star Wars, I mean.
