Spike Lee Casts Common Folk in Academy Awards Commercial
Well I guess when you’re doing a commercial for the Oscars, you can handpick just about any big name filmmaker to helm it. But in an interesting reversal of roles, Spike Lee decided to go out and cast a bunch of average New Yorkers in his promo for the 79th Annual Academy Awards. They simply spout off famous movie catch phrases in somewhat amusing ways. Nicely done. Head over to Big Screen Little Screen to see a few shorter spots as well.
