Monday Morning Box Office Report: Feb. 19, 2007

Sadly it seems that Ghost Rider has become the first big box office success of the year, taking in $44.5 million in its opening weekend. I assume this means that a sequel is as good as greenlit, despite the fact that there was little in theatres to give it any serious competition. Bridge To Terabithia opened with $22.1 mil, while Norbit fell to 3rd spot with $16.8 million. The top 5 was rounded out by the Drew Barrymore/Hugh Grant romantic comedy Music and Lyrics, and Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls.
