Kevin Sorbo Wants Sam Raimi To Throw Him A Bone
Typically I don’t post much celebrity gossip news here on Film Junk, because it’s all usually just a bunch of B.S. anyway, but this story struck me as being somewhat amusing. In a recent interview with FilmStew, Kevin Sorbo, hunky star of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Andromeda, lashed out at director Sam Raimi for not lending a helping hand with his career. Apparently he thinks Raimi holds a grudge against him for refusing to do more seasons of Hercules.
“I busted my ass on Hercules and during Season Five. I had an aneurysm that exploded in my body that almost killed me… It is very infantile from a guy who’s as powerful as he is and as wealthy as he is too. Throw me a bone. Why not let me do something? I’d love to play a bad man in one of the Spider-Man things. I think I’d be great at it, but what are you going to do?†Sounds like Sorbo’s jealous that Raimi continues to find his buddy Bruce Campbell small roles in all of his films, but I don’t think he realizes the relationship they have. I mean they’ve known each other since high school and made Evil Dead together when they were in their early 20’s. Chill out Sorbo! Besides, it’s not like Sorbo has really been struggling either. He recently had a recurring guest role on The O.C. What more could a guy ask for?

Whoa! Sounds like Sorbs is jealous that his former boss is doing better than he is, post-Hercules.
Posted by Robert on June 6th, 2007Not surprising, though, since Sorbs proved that his success with Hercules was a fluke after the way he f***ed up Andromeda.
So, it makes sense that the rest of his career will now consist solely of TV guest spots and direct-to-DVD schlock like the Walking Tall sequel(I’m sure Poison Ivy 4, Hollow Man 3, and Alone in the Dark 2 are all waiting in the wings for him).
I completely agree with Sorbo. Sorbo is a very talented actor who busted his ass to make Raimi what he is today. I remember watching hurcules as a child and I loved it and continue to be a Sorbo fan til this day. As for Raimi, I didnt even know his name til today. And as for spiderman, well we all found errors in that movie’s plot, storyline, and screenshots.
Posted by Nubia on May 27th, 2009i love kevin sorbo so much and i agree with him too he is a very talented actor he and lucy lawless made much money for raimi but raimi didnt want sorbo to be more famous and beloved because he is jealous of him and in anther interview sorbo said that he thought that he and raimi are good friends but after the end of the show raimi didnt thank him or call him four years
