I fully agree with you Mike, when a film is receiving ‘AMAZING’ reviews , which it is , some despicable people will post a fake ‘bad’ review which will bring alot of attention to them …EriC Davis’name is mud as far as im concerned…

I usually find movie trailers more entertaining than the films themselves. (And no, I’m not part of the MTV generation.) With that said, I thought the movie trailer for 300 to be the most kick-ass promo ever, and I can’t possibly conceive how the film could be bad.

Then again, the last kick-ass promo I remember was for that Jude Law, Angelina Jolie, and Gwynneth Paltrow flick… um, Captain Skyhawk and the Future of Tomorrow? You know what film I’m talking about. Actually, I haven’t seen the film because everyone said the movie was bad. I have the DVD buried under a pile of VHS tapes in my house. Maybe I should dig it out, watch it, and form my own opinion.

If you don’t print a retraction to this Berlin Film Festival report, then I’ll believe 300 is bad and I won’t bother seeing it. At least I enjoyed the movie trailer.

The real question at hand is if they use the Nine Inch Nails music from the trailer in the movie and possibly if they use more? But certainly it’s no surprise that an action movie didn’t play well at a film fest even if it didn’t play all that badly. I expect the movie will be pretty fun to look at but not as good as episode XXV of Samurai Jack which was also influenced by the Frank Miller comic.

Well the guy who posted on Cinematical was not some anonymous scooper like those frequently seen at Ain’t It Cool News, he is a long-time writer and contributor to Cinematical and I linked directly to his review. Obviously he saw the movie himself, and didn’t like it. Whether or not he witnessed the booing himself, I’m not sure, but it sounds like he did.

You’ve been duped.

The film received a standing ovation as well as spontaneous applause and cheers during the film. The blogger who posted on cinematical from which you snagged your report is a bogus fraud.

There were 1700 in the audience – packed house. Ask those people how awesome the film was not some dorkhead with personal issues.

Seriously, this movie looks ridiculous. Uninspired, uncreative, uninteresting, but easily marketed.

I was actually quite surprised to see this on Berlin’s Festival lineup. It seemed a bit out of place along the rest of the entries.

I’m still looking forward to seeing it.
