New To Theatres This Weekend – Feb. 9, 2007
Only a couple of big releases this week, and they certainly aren’t looking very promising. Eddie Murphy returns with another comedy about fat people in Norbit, while the Hannibal Lector franchise gets stretched even further with Peter Webber’s Hannibal Rising. In select theatres around these parts (although I think they’ve been playing elsewhere for a while now) are the Edie Sedgwick biopic Factory Girl and the critically-acclaimed German film The Lives of Others.

Just a warning: The Lives of Others is exactly like Schindler’s List in tone, so don’t expect anything good, despite what reviews will tell you (got fucked over by the newspapers on that one).
