New To Theatres This Weekend – Feb. 2, 2007
Unless you’re a Mandy Moore fan, it’s probably a good weekend to stay in and knock something off the ol’ Netflix queue because there isn’t really any new stuff worth seeing in theatres. Because I Said So is a mother/daughter romantic comedy starring Moore, Diane Keaton and Lauren Graham. Your only other option is the Sam Raimi-produced, Pang Brothers-directed horror movie called The Messengers, and that didn’t screen for critics. Not a good sign.

I get better releases this weekend…
Pursuit of Happyness and more importantly, Last King Of Scotland opens here, so in spite your warning (I hardly know who Mandy Moore is, saw her on Letterman at one point) I will be attending theatres this weekend.

Posted by Marina on February 2nd, 2007There’s a hilarious review of ‘Because I Said So’ on theonionavclub.com To say the reviewer was disgusted with it would be putting it mildly.
