Zack Snyder Signs First Look Deal with Warners
Zack Snyder is red hot in Hollywood right now. His latest film 300 hasn’t even hit theatres yet, and yet all the buzz surrounding it has studios taking notice. Warner Bros have been quite eager to keep working with him, and as a result they have just signed a two-year first look deal with Snyder’s production company, Cruel and Unusual Films. You know, I think Warners may be jumping the gun a bit here, because in my mind Snyder is still unproven. His 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake was decent, and yes 300 looks quite breathtaking, but I’m still not fully buying into the hype. It looks like it’s all colour filters and testosterone, and not much else. We’ll see. Of course, Snyder’s next film is shaping up to be another comic book blockbuster, an adaptation of Alan Moore’s Watchmen. Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn out like this.

That YouTube clip was offensive.
I think it’s pretty clear to anyone who has read Watchmen, that it can’t be turned into a movie. The fact that this guy is even mentioning it and talking about it, makes me think that he’s a hack. It doesn’t help that so far, he has based his entire career off of other people’s work and ideas.
Leave Watchmen alone. Read it, and leave it alone.
