This week on the Film Junk podcast we review Guillermo del Toro’s masterpiece Pan’s Labyrinth, and count down our top 5 worst parody films EVER (sort of). We also discuss this year’s Academy Award nominations, Fox’s empty threat of delaying movie releases in Canada due to piracy, and trailers for Rush Hour 3 and King of California. i remember during that play i was so mad because at the time i thought the play was actually decent. it wasnt. it was called ’stripes.com’ or something like that and was about a gay couple who get in a fight over using the internet too much, and the centerpiece of the play was a stupid monologue about chugging butter and leaving a yellow streak on the floor after puking.
Posted by Goon on January 30th, 2007btw, the Spanish Civil War takes place in Spain, not Mexico as stated
Posted by Goon on January 30th, 2007Ah yes, I suppose then it would have been the “Mexican Revolution”.
Posted by Sean on January 30th, 2007Jade pompous?!? WTF…Jay is just jaded. Jaded Jay!!
That laugh was insane.
I wonder if Tom Cruise will do for Scientology what Cat Stevens did for Islam…consume his life.
Jay’s Top 5 was funny. Life Is Beautiful as a parody of Schindler’s List. LOL.
Good show

Posted by Henrik on January 30th, 2007Metallica covering Ennio Morricone. That one was for you Henrik!
Posted by Sean on January 30th, 2007Well, I had no idea. My friend tells me this opens all their shows? I have newfound respect for Metallica.
Not really that big a fan of them though, so the reference blew past me. Not a big fan of the Leone films either, so I wasn’t able to appreciate any of it.
Maybe next time.
