The Sopranos and Entourage Return in April

Those of us wondering when HBO’s two heavy-hitters would finally be back to wrap up their seasons now have a date to mark on our calendars: April 8th. This is when The Sopranos, as many know, will enter the home stretch in its sixth and final season. Apparently they shot an extra episode at the last minute in order to finish the story properly, which means that the final run will be 9 episodes instead of the originally planned 8. Entourage will once again be paired in the time slot following The Sopranos, as it delivers the second half of its third season. HBO is obviously hoping that they can hook as many viewers as possible on Vinnie and the boys so that they’ll stick around after The Sopranos ends. It will be interesting to see if there’s a big drop-off in subscribers after this, as The Sopranos is definitely the primary reason a lot of people pay for HBO (or TMN in Canada). All I know is I’m going to be pissed if they jack up their DVD box set prices even more to compensate!

  1. It’s about bloody time we get to see the final Sopranos episodes. I just hope that they pick up the pace because the first half of the last season was a snoozer.

My big question now is when the hell Big Love is coming back!
