Box Office Report: Top Grossing Movies of 2006

Well I was going to post the box office results from the last weekend of 2006, but considering that Black Christmas was the only new release, the results weren’t all that interesting. (The one surprise was that Dreamgirls managed to place 3rd and bring in $15.5 million despite playing in only 850 theatres… I guess people are always desperate for a good musical.) Anyway, here’s a look at the top 10 highest grossing movies from 2006. What did the past year in movies teach us? Well, for one thing, the downpour of CGI kids movies sure isn’t going to stop anytime soon.
