After years of rumours going back and forth about whether or not this DVD set would ever see the light of day, it appears that we finally have a confirmed release date for Twin Peaks: The Second Season. The first season of Twin Peaks has long since gone out of print on DVD and is now hard to find at a reasonable price, so if they’re smart they’ll re-release it in a package with season 2 as well. The second season of Twin Peaks, from what I remember, was criticized for descending into a fog of Lynch-ian weirdness. Still, this is one of the most original and innovative TV shows ever made and I for one plan on completing my collection when it hits stores (the 22 episodes of Season 2 take you right up to the feature film, Fire Walk With Me, already available on DVD). Street date is April 10th, 2007 and extras are still TBA.
