I suppose some might consider this old news now, but last week USA Today debuted the first picture of the Fantasticar vehicle from the upcoming movie Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. It does look somewhat cool (cooler than “The Tumbler” from Batman Begins, anyway) but I’ll be honest, I have no idea what this vehicle looked like in the comics (nor do I really care). Overall I’m sure this is a pretty trivial element of the movie, and a minor distraction from what we all really want to see: a picture of the Silver Surfer! That, in my mind, will be the biggest challenge for this film. But hey, I actually didn’t mind the first Fantastic Four movie and I think this sequel could be fun as well. I just don’t think the Fantasticar will have much to do with my enjoyment of it either way.
