AOL Offers Free Movie Downloads For One Day Only
Still undecided about downloading movies? Yeah, me too. There are a lot of alternatives popping up lately, including iTunes, X-Box Live, and Walmart (among others). Well now AOL is giving you a chance to take their movie download service for a test run for one day! That’s right, today only (Sat. Dec. 2nd) they are offering a number of titles completely free. Among the newer titles offered are Nacho Libre and M:I3, and there are some good holiday classics like National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
I think this is a good way to get people past their apprehension for downloading movies, although they really should do it with a few brand new movies if they want to hook people. (Unfortunately I still can’t see anyone paying the regular price of $9.99 to $19.99 for these digital downloads. That price point absolutely needs to change!) If you’re interested in hearing a good discussion on the future of movie downloads, check out this video from G4’s Attack of the Show. You can browse AOL’s list of free movies now via the link below.
