This Week on DVD – Nov. 28, 2006
It’s a major week for the Man of Steel, as Superman Returns hits DVD along with a ton of other Superman-related releases including the never before seen Richard Donner cut of Superman II. Be warned however… the Superman Ultimate Collector’s Edition box set reportedly has some issues (read about it over at DVD Active). It’s also a big week for Kevin Smith fans, who can finally get their sweaty hands on Clerks II, along with the long-delayed An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder and the directorial debut of Jeff Anderson (aka Randall) with an indie film called Now You Know. And of course, who could forget the special edition of National Lampoon’s Van Wilder?

What the fuck they made ANOTHER version of Usual Suspects? I have the two-disc version (I can’t remember what ‘edition’ they called it) and Bryan Singer mentions on the commentary track that he feels really bad about the double-dip.
On the X-Men 1.5 dvd, there is a feature called “Introduction” where Bryan Singer apologizes for the double-dipping.
If there is an apology on this DVD, Bryan Singer is not only gay, he is also ghey.
Posted by Henrik on November 28th, 2006the dumbest thing i saw in stores today, and i cant even find a pic of it on the web
Clerks: Snowball Edition
it has a topless girl (shot from the bottom of the boobs down) in just underwear on the cover.
and thats it. not only does this have nothing to do with Clerks, it wouldnt even appropriately fit any of his other movies. its possibly the worst choice of cover art i’ve seen for any movie ever.
Posted by Goon on November 28th, 2006Yeah I don’t even understand what that is… I guess it’s a cheapo re-release for the people who still haven’t seen it and are picking up Clerks II today. If you’re going to buy Clerks, just get the Clerks X version.
