Amazing Race: All-Stars Coming Next Year
For all you loyal reality TV watchers out there who still refuse to give up on the trend, here’s a cool bit of news about one of my personal favourites: The Amazing Race. I must admit, I’ve been following the 10th season against my better judgment, and I have to say it has surprised me by developing into one of the best seasons in recent memory. You can bet I’ll be watching early next year when they launch the 11th season: The Amazing Race: All-Stars! I’ve been wondering when they’d finally play the All-Stars card since it worked so well for Survivor. Among the teams being rumoured to return: Kentucky’s David and Mary, recently eliminated from The Amazing Race 10, and that’s right… Rob and Amba baby! I really don’t think they need a chance to win even more money… but I guess every season needs a villain. Production started last week in Miami, and The Amazing Race: All-Stars is expected to air sometime in first quarter 2007.
In the meantime, if you just can’t get enough of The Amazing Race, check out The Amazing Race Asia, an Asian adaptation of the show currently airing on satellite station AXN (and also available now on YouTube!).

One word: awesome-cakes. This season really has been good, but now that the Chos are gone I don’t know who to pull for. The Barbies are, well, ambiguous in my mind, the Models are the epitome of male stupidity, Rob and Kim remind me of Zach and Flo only not as annoying, and Team Bama, while actually archetypical of people from my home state, grate on my nerves. Still, I’m sticking with it to the end, and David and Mary returning for All-Stars is not a bad move for the show. Can’t wait!
