Live Action Bratz Movie In The Works

I love this world we live in of media crossovers and endless marketing opportunities. Pretty much anything can be a potential subject for a feature film nowadays, which explains why there is a live action Bratz movie in the works. Bratz are a line of 10 inch dolls with the slogan “the only girls with a passion for fashion”. They also have really oversized heads. Apparently they are quite popular with young girls, and now director Sean McNamara (Raise Your Voice, 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain) has signed on to helm a live action movie based on the characters with Crystal Sky Pictures. (Also in the works over at Crystal Sky: a new Rob Schneider movie called Big Stan, and a Tekken big screen adaptation.)

The Bratz movie will find Jasmin, Ari, Cloe, and Jade “bonding over social pressures at Lewis & Clark High School”. Sounds like my kind of movie. No, but seriously I would actually be interested in this film if they got a bunch of hot actresses and used digital effects to increase the size of their heads. That would be pretty funny. You can check out a small teaser poster from the film here. Production starts next February. Hopefully they’ll follow it up with a movie based on the Homies 2 inch figurines.
