Dustin Diamond Decides Not To Ban Leaked Sex Tape
Avid Film Junk reader Henrik e-mailed me today to tell me that it was imperative I post about this story immediately. And after thinking about it, I believe he is right. The public needs to know the truth, and who am I to stand in their way?
As we mentioned on the October 2nd podcast, Dustin Diamond best known for his role as Screech on the 80’s series Saved By The Bell, will join a growing list of actors (including Colin Farrell, Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton) who all have the dubious distinction of starring in their own sex tapes. The thing with the Screech tape in particular, however, is that it seems a little too convenient that it was recently “leaked” to the public. After all, it was only a few months ago that he was selling t-shirts online to try and pay off his mortgage. It’s pretty obvious that this is a pre-meditated money-making scheme.
As expected, this week Diamond has come out and said that he’s not going to ban the sex tape after all, but rather he will be accepting a share of the profits. What a surprise! However, he still makes it clear that this should not be considered a full-blown porno. “I’m not an adult actor. I did something stupid in private… Let’s just say, if I were a small man, it would be worse.” If you needed anymore proof that this is actually a well-organized and purposely publicized release, there is a teaser trailer of sorts online over at TMZ.com. Oh, and the film is actually called Saved By The Smell. I’m not making this up. How low can one man possibly sink?
