After Joss Whedon recently threw in the towel and admitted defeat as far as the continuation of Firefly and Serenity, he is now backpedalling from his statements just a little bit. Seems that his talk about there being “no sequel, no secret project regarding Serenity”, might have given people the idea that a Serenity sequel was not happening. Well what… are you people, nuts??? Whedon made another post on the Whedonesque message board to clarify that he didn’t mean it would NEVER happen, he just meant there was nothing currently in the works. “I will absolutely, posatively [sic] never ever do any kind of Serenity sequel or spinoff unless a studio asks me. Politely. Or meanly, that’s cool too.” Sounds like someone doesn’t want to break the hearts of Browncoats around the world. Joss, stop giving these poor people false hope! It’s not healthy! In other news, Whedon confirmed that Lonelygirl15 has been cast as Wonder Woman. Oh that Joss Whedon… what a kidder.
