Saw III Posters With Real Blood
Well if it’s not customizable phone messages, then it’s something else… these wacky marketing types are always looking for the newest thing to get people’s attention and make blog headlines. I’d say Lionsgate’s Tim Palen has certainly succeeded on that front with his unique Saw III poster idea. Every year Saw helps promote a Halloween blood drive, and it was at that point they decided to do a new Saw III poster with Jigsaw wearing a blood red cloak, only the red would actually come from real human blood. Actor Tobin Bell donated a vial of his own blood for the occasion, which required the printers to wear gloves and masks during the production process. The poster is a limited run of about 1000, some of which will be auctioned off in order to benefit the Red Cross. You can see a high-res version of the actual poster in question over at AOL Moviefone.

This is more than a little “wacky” but I’ll admit that that’s pretty cool. To boot, it’s all for a good cause.
