Jackass Number Two Censored In Iowa?

The headline for this post may be a little misleading, but read on… I thought it was pretty damn hilarious. We’ve heard people object to Jackass Number Two and its raunchy subject matter, but this is the first I’ve heard of anyone objecting to Jackass 2 based solely on its provocative… title? A theatre in Orange City, Iowa has apparently been listing the movie under the name “Jackbutt 2″ if you can believe it. Now is that censorship or what? Check out the picture for proof…. gotta love those crazy Midwest conservatives. I wasn’t aware that “Jackass” was a swear word anymore, much less the word “ass”. Hell I’ve heard much worse on primetime network TV. But I guess everyone has to draw the line somewhere, right?

  1. AHAHAHA That’s hilarious! A little scary but hilarious!

  2. Jackass is in the dictionary, maybe they should have called it Male Donkey 2: The Muleing.

  3. Actually–when they were putting the titles up, they ran out of s’s. A high school kid–being a high school kid, thought it would be funny to substitue butt for ass. End of story-not really that funny–what’s been funny is everyone’s knee jerk reaction to it across the country.

  4. Damn, I guess our fact checkers blew it on this one!

  5. Aw, piddlesticks. Can we still be conservative though? And how did everyone’s fact checkers blow it? We do have the Internet here too… :)
Actually, most seem to link back to TMZ, to which I say, “‘Course, TMZ said id’z true…[snort] Good ‘nuf fur me!”

  6. The word “jackass” never has been a swear word. Look it up in the dictionary – it means a male donkey, or a stupid person (nitwit or fool). It’s no worse than calling someone an idiot or retard. “Jackass” was used in Disney and Warner Bros cartoons in the 1940s – a time when you couldn’t even say “hell” or “crap”. I wish people would quit censoring the word “jackass” when there are far worse words and phrases out there that are much worse.
