Trailer for Christopher Guest’s For Your Consideration
We’ve heard glowing reviews of it from the Toronto Film Festival, and now you can check out the full trailer for Christopher Guest’s upcoming comedy For Your Consideration over at Moviefone. My guess is that you’ll already know whether or not this movie is your cup of tea… the dry humour in Guest’s mockumentaries can bring either tears of laughter or tears of boredom, depending on what you find funny. This time around the subject is Hollywood, as the cast of a small movie called Home For Purim find out they are in the running to receive Oscar nominations and this causes everyone involved in the film to get caught up in the buzz. The shallowness and the egos of the movie biz are ripe for parody, and I suspect this could be Guest’s most entertaining flick yet. For Your Consideration stars many of Guest’s usual collaborators, and the only real difference this time around is that it’s not a done in a mockumentary format (although there are still plenty of interviews with the characters on talk shows, etc). Look for it in theatres on December 8th; watch the trailer now at the link below.

I’ve enjoyed a number of his projects, particularly last year’s “Mrs Henderson Presents”. This looks like it’s going to crack my rib!
