This Week on DVD – Sept. 26, 2006

This week is a big week for DVD releases if you’re a horror fanatic (or improv comedy enthusiast!), otherwise you’re probably going to be saving your money. Takashi Miike’s Masters of Horror episode is finally released this week, after being deemed “too extreme” for TV. On top of that, look for even more new special editions of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Stephen King’s Pet Sematary and The Dead Zone. It looks like Voltron Volume 1 got delayed yet another week in Canada, but it should hit stores everywhere in the U.S. today.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Ultimate Edition
One Tree Hill: Season 3
Voltron: Defender of the Universe Vol. 1
The Notorious Bettie Page
A Nightmare on Elm Street: Infinifilm Special Edition
Mama’s Family: Season 1
Masters of Horror: Imprint
The Lake House
Down In The Valley
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Curious George
The Ground Truth
Lady Vengeance
Pet Sematary: Collector’s Edition
The Dead Zone: Collector’s Edition
Save The Last Dance: Collector’s Edition
Dick Tracy: The Complete Animated Crime Series
Beowulf & Grendel
Whose Line Is It Anyway? – Season 1: Volume 1

  1. Imprint looks interesting. As for the rest, the only 2 I’m interested in seeing are “The Notorious Bettie Page” and “Down in the Valley” both of which have ridiculously short runs in the local theatres.
