Uwe Boll vs His Critics: Round 2
Even though this whole Uwe Boll boxing match thing stopped being funny the minute he actually landed a blow on the first unathletic webmaster from Spain, Boll was still determined to go through with the main event, which did indeed happen over the weekend in Vancouver. The sad thing is that they actually sold tickets to the match, and people actually paid money to see a bunch of non-boxers get their asses kicked by a crappy German filmmaker on a rampage. Footage from all 4 fights is now up on YouTube, and I must say it’s a pretty sad display. Toronto’s Chris Alexander seems to have fared the best, even using some fake blood to try and throw Boll off his game. I don’t know about you, but I am suddenly inspired to go out and see one of Boll’s cinematic masterpieces! (No I’m not.) What do you think? Well there wasn’t alot of backlash when it was announced, but now when the reality hits suddenly everybody is outraged… The people who signed up must have known what they were getting themselves into.
I don’t know. Don’t really care at all. I find boxing boring.

WTF? Is this guy completely stupid? I read a news story about this last week and he even said that having won his first fight he had ‘proven’ that this movies were good. How he came to that conclusion I’d love to know.
Either way, I did pop down by the Plaza of Nations before the fights started and talked to a few people that were waiting in line and OMG - most of them were actually Boll fans. So it seems that someone out there likes his movies.
Personally, this is a joke and I’m no more interested to see any of his movies than before. He’s just proven that he’s a moron willing to go to any means to drum up attention. Sad and pathetic.
