This Week on DVD – Aug 29, 2006
Some big TV show sets hit stores today, including the 3rd and final season of Arrested Development, season 2 of Desperate Housewives, and the Season 3 of Nip/Tuck. But for me, this week is all about one release and one release only: The Tick Animated Series — Season 1! Who cares if it’s missing an episode… I can’t wait to get my hands on this thing and rewatch such a classic show. Also released this week are the Steve Buscemi-directed drama Lonesome Jim and the new Limited Edition releases of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Did I miss anything important?
Arrested Development: Season 3
Desperate Housewives: The Complete Second Season (Extra Juicy Edition)
Nip/Tuck: The Complete 3rd Season

Regarding “Lord of the Rings”….Me thinks that LIMITED EDITION is new speak for a release justified by slow sales.
Posted by Bassmasta-Baychuk on August 29th, 2006Update for Canadian buyers: Lonesome Jim isn’t available until Oct. 24th, American Gun on Oct. 10th.
The Tick release still remains to be seen, but it looks like it’s probably not out in Canada yet either.
