Trailer for DVD Release of Bruce Campbell’s Going Back
You probably know Bruce Campbell as the poster boy for low budget horror and cult classic b-movies, but did you know that he also did a fairly traditional indie romance/drama shortly after starring in Evil Dead? Well he did. Going Back was his second feature film, and up until now it has been unavailable on DVD. This 1983 movie is about two high school friends who spend their last summer before college living in the countryside, staying with a lonely farmer. One of them falls in love with a local girl. Four years later they return and try to recapture their memories of that unforgettable summer.
Yeah I can’t really say it sounds all that gripping, and even the hardcore Bruce Campbell fans will probably be hard-pressed to take an interest in it. Regardless, Bifrost Distribution will be releasing it on DVD on October 17th, and it comes with interviews, a “Making Of” featurette and audio commentary with Bruce Campbell, director Ron Teachworth and cinematographer John Prusak. Our friends over at MoviesOnline have posted the trailer for the film, so check it out and see if this one strikes your fancy.
