Another Ace Ventura: Pet Detective Movie… For Real
Remember back when Ace Ventura: Pet Detective was basically the funniest movie ever made? This was when Jim Carrey was on top of his game, still very much a rising star in Hollywood, and everyone and their brother was running around saying “Allllllrighty then”? Yeah, it feels like that was ages ago, and in fact, it was… 12 years to be exact. Now, for some unknown reason, the people over at Morgan Creek want to bring him back into the pop culture landscape yet again. This time around it’s unlikely that Jim Carrey will be involved, as the story will focus on the son of Ace, who is taking over the family business. So what’s the deal, are they going to do “The Son Of…” movies for every single Jim Carrey project? One can only hope that Jamie Kennedy will continue to take Jim Carrey’s sloppy seconds and somehow land the role of Ace Ventura, Jr. What do you think, can this actually work? To me it just sounds horribly laughable… but not in a good way.

i doubt very much that carrey will do it and if it is in fact The Son of Ace, it will be crap, look at The Son of The Mask and even the prequel to Dumb and Dumber. it wont work, they should have left it after the first one. the second one sucked.
