Monster Squad and Night of the Creeps DVD Campaign
A reader over at Davis DVD has recently launched a campaign to get two Fred Dekker classic 80’s films released on DVD, Night of the Creeps and The Monster Squad. I, for one, find it hard to believe that neither of these great movies have been released on DVD yet. I mean, isn’t everything on DVD by now? If Garbage Pail Kids: The Movie is on DVD, then these two movies surely deserve to be on DVD! What’s more, a studio could have really played on the similarity between Night of the Creeps and James Gunn’s Slither, and released it on the same day. There have been numerous online petitions for both of these films, but they have gone ignored by the respective owners thus far. So it seems the best way to get some attention is to write real letters, one to Viacom for The Monster Squad, and one to Sony Pictures Entertainment for Night of the Creeps. i would love to see Monster Squad on dvd, i havent seen that one for awhile. i dont think that i ever saw Night of the Creeps though.
