Bryan Singer Fantasizes About A Jaws Remake
Alright, let me just be clear about this right up front… there is a 99.99% chance this will never amount to anything. This is just a throwaway comment that Bryan Singer made during an interview with Ain’t It Cool News. That said, I still had to post this just because if it ever did happen, I think I would feel obligated to buy a lot of explosives and put as many people on this planet out of their misery as I possibly could. Apparently Bryan Singer is a big fan of Jaws (who isn’t?) and admits to fantasizing about doing a Jaws remake and/or sequel. However, when pressed further on the subject, he backed off, saying “I would never touch Jaws… I couldn’t do it to Steven! He’s my idol!” Yeah, that’s right Singer. Know your role, and don’t go getting any funny ideas. Jaws is just one of those movies that should NEVER be touched, much less by Mr. Superman Returns.

this is one of those movies you shouldnt be allowed to touch for a remake. i mean this is the first movie to be classified as a blockbuster. so i would say absolutely no to this movie, if its true that is.
Posted by Chopper on August 9th, 2006Singer who I really like as a director seems really hell bent on remakes…look at Supes Returns…it’s a poor mans remake of Superman the Movie…now Jaws? I know it was just a statement…a quick though and nothing more but it does make me wonder why Singer is so obssessed with the past. I heard he is making Zod the villian in the sequel…can anyone say Superman 2?????
