Snake Plissken’s Escape From Earth Shot Down
Well, another day, another internet pipe dream shattered as Ain’t It Cool News correspondent Moriarty has shot down the rumours of a John Carpenter/Kurt Russell reunion for a third Snake Plissken “Escape” movie. Moriarty, who wrote the screenplay for Carpenter’s Masters of Horror episode “Cigarette Burns”, went straight to the source to see if there was actually anything cooking. And from the sounds of it, the only thing currently cooking in Carpenter’s kitchen is fried chicken. According to Carpenter’s wife, Sandy, “John has just spent a rousing week playing Tom Clancy’s war video games and smoking in his favorite chair and eating fried chicken. Need I say more?” Carpenter himself confirmed the falseness of the rumour thus: “Escape From Earth is an idea we had several years ago, but it never really got any further than that.” I guess it was simply too good to be true. Who the heck starts these wacky rumours anyway? Well, I guess deep down I knew Kurt Russell couldn’t possibly be throwing around those kinds of demands at a movie studio nowadays.

oh well, no more snake. i guess its for the best though. some characters just dont get the chance to do a trilogy.
