Trailer for Christopher Reeve’s Final Film Project Everyone’s Hero

Who wants another computer animated kids’ movie? Hey, why not, right? Everyone’s Hero is a new CG flick from Fox and IDT Entertainment about a young kid named Yankee Irving who embarks on a road trip to try and help the Yankees win the World Series — or at least that’s what the movie’s synopsis says. According to the trailer I just watched, it looks like the kid just tries to catch someone who stole a bat from Yankee Stadium with the help of a talking baseball. This movie was Christopher Reeve’s final film project before he died, and he still gets a co-director credit on it, but his vision was continued by Colin Brady (visual effects on E.T. and Lemony Snicket’s) and Dan St. Pierre (layout artist on The Little Mermaid and The Lion King). The voice cast includes William H. Macy, Whoopi Goldberg, Rob Reiner, Jake T. Austin (The Ant Bully), and Christopher Reeve’s late wife Dana (who died of lung cancer earlier this year). Yeah, it’s another computer animated movie but at least this one only has a couple inanimate objects coming to life, as opposed to every single character in the film! Everyone’s Hero opens on September 16th, you can watch the trailer at the official site now (linked below).

  1. These cutesy animation flicks used to be a treat when it peaked with Bug’s Life and Toy Story and then Shrek. However, with so many around they are starting to blur into one another. The movies may be well intentioned and such, but too much of it takes away from it.

How about some hard core Sci-Fi stuff based on novel series, like “Runelords” or “Deathstalker”?

  2. they do have to stop putting out so many of these animation flicks. i was into them when it was one or two a year, but now that everyone and their brother is putting one out a week is getting boring.
i might interested in seeing it since its christopher reeves final project.

  3. We have a game for the upcoming film, Everyone’s Hero (original director – Christopher Reeve).

If we get 500,000 game plays, our sponsor will donate $10,000 to the Christopher Reeve Foundation.

If you could link to us, that would be great. If not, thank you for your consideration.
