Quentin Tarantino Announces Kill Bill Animated Prequel and Sequel

Everyone’s favourite fanboy turned bad boy director Quentin Tarantino was at the Comic Con in San Diego this past weekend promoting Grind House, but while he was there he also took the opportunity to unveil a couple more movies that are on his neverending list of upcoming projects. From the sounds of it, he’s not done with the Kill Bill franchise just yet… not even close. He’s got two more Kill Bill movies on the way, one being a prequel about the history of Bill himself, while the other will be a future continuation of the story of “The Bride”. One catch though — the movies will both be animated. There aren’t really many details to go on right now, but I’m assuming they will both be anime films done by Production I.G., who did the 15 minute anime sequence in Kill Bill Vol. 1. While I may retain a vague interest in seeing these animated flicks, what I really want to know is when the hell will we get the Kill Bill Ultimate Edition Combined Box Set!!! Jeez man, how hard is it to glue together two movies and re-release them?

  1. kill bill is a great flick, but i mean, mister Q should move on to something else instead of cartoons for kill bill.

  2. I loved the animation in Kill Bill. I hated both of the movies, but I would be interested in seeing this because of the animation style.

  3. In my personal opinion, ANIME is the perfect addition to the Kill Bill franchise, especially if done by Production I.G. who did the cut scenes in the 1st movie, they looked briliant.
