Trailer For Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige Out Now
You know, I hadn’t really given much thought to what Christopher Nolan might be doing in between Batman Begins and the next Batman film… I guess I just kind of assumed he had been essentially swallowed up by Warner Bros, but I’m glad to see that is not the case. A trailer has just materialized for his next film The Prestige, and it looks amazing. Starring Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Michael Caine, Scarlett Johannson, and David Bowie, it is about two rival magicians in turn of the century London competing with each other for supremacy. They continue to up the ante of their own tricks, while trying to learn the secrets of the other, and eventually it pushes them to murder. Strangely, I can’ t help but be reminded me of another upcoming movie, Neil Burger’s The Illusionist. Apparently magicians are the “it” thing in Hollywood this year. Truth be told these guys got nothing on Criss Angel, but I do love me some Christian Bale and I cannot wait to see this film. Check out the trailer for The Prestige now over at Apple, it hits theatres on October 27th.

Man, I didn’t even see this post before now. I was wondering why you weren’t reporting on this.
I made the comment on the movie blog that it was weird that these magician movies are coming out within a year of each other…
