Trailer for Broken Lizard’s Beerfest Online
Some people will tell you that the Broken Lizard comedy group are geniuses and that their movies Super Troopers and Club Dread are timeless classics. Personally I don’t know what these people are smoking, although it’s obviously something that makes them laugh at unfunny movies. That said, maybe the latest Broken Lizard movie Beerfest will change my mind (I doubt it). I don’t want to jump to conclusions here, but it’s called Beerfest, and it’s about an international beer drinking competition. How many typical ethnic jokes and drunk hijinks can one movie possibly hold? The trailer for the movie has just premiered on the web over at (where else?) Maxim Online, and is linked from the official movie site. I can pretty much guarantee I won’t be seeing this movie of my own will, but you probably already know if this is your schtick. Super Troopers is a cult classic.
Club Dread is god awful.

Club Dread on the other hand may be the worst movie I’ve seen in the past 5 years.
