Transformers Movie Teaser Hits The Web
Well it wasn’t supposed to be online until July 4th, but I guess someone managed to leak a low quality version of the trailer already. So the studio caved and posted the Transformers teaser trailer over at the official site already! Hooray for internet bootleggers! Don’t get yourself too worked up though… they don’t even call it a teaser, they call it an “announcement” video. All you really get to see is 1 second of a blurry Transformer… if that. It’s too bad, I was hoping they’d give us a bigger glimpse of the computer generated Transformers in action, but that would probably be asking a bit much considering the movie’s still a year out. The effects, of course, remain the single most crucial element of this movie. Anyway, there’s not much else to say at this point. Transformers will hit theatres on July 4th, 2007, and Michael Bay is still a hack! Click below to watch the “announcement” now.

I’m sayng it now, there already is a Transformers movie and it fucking rocks. Whatever Michael Bay plans, it won’t have a badass theme song performed by White Lion and it won’t be Transformers no matter how many transforming robot piece of shit GM cars are in it. They may as well retitle the movie, “This Movie Licks Balls: The Movie”.
Posted by Nuno on June 29th, 2006Ahahaha.. come on man, don’t sugar coat it!
I have to agree though, I love the animated Transformers movie despite its cheesiness. This movie sounds like there’s way too much focus on the humans. I will have to be sold on the effects before I can believe this will work.
Posted by Sean on June 29th, 2006Compared to Spider-Man 3 this sucks?
Of course Spider-Man 3 is far further into production that Transformers, but this is shit.
It looks like anybody could have made this? There is nothing to it.
Posted by Henrik on June 29th, 2006I concur.
It’s nicely made but they blew their load waaaaaaaaay to early. Having no footage is no excuse. That’s what posters are for.
They had a fucking countdown for this shit?
I’m still looking forward to it but if they hype this piece of shit with a countdown, why should we trust the hype for the movie?
Posted by Rynndar on June 30th, 2006I don’t get why y’all gitten worked up over a teaser trailer for.
Posted by Bassmasta-Baychuk on June 30th, 2006no interest at all in this at all. i wasnt that big in the cartoon so i cant really see me paying money to see this.
Posted by Chopper on June 30th, 2006I think the attraction is more on the special effects and far it can go. I enjoyed the cartoons as a kid and seeing it in live action would be cool too.
Posted by Bassmasta-Baychuk on June 30th, 2006Do you think they’ll incorporate “You’ve got the touch” though?
Maybe over the end credits or something…It would be nice.
Posted by Henrik on June 30th, 2006Heh, that would be a bit out of place. I’m hoping it would be somewhat serious. Wasn’t that song used in Boogie Nights as well?
Posted by Bassmasta-Baychuk on June 30th, 2006Yeah in Boogie Nights, Mark Wahlberg’s character records a rendition of the song. It’s the hidden track on the soundtrack too I believe. Classic!
Posted by Sean on June 30th, 2006I’ve never seen Boogie Nights but everytime I hear something about it, it makes me wanna see it.
Is it worth picking up on DVD?
Posted by Henrik on July 1st, 2006I think it’s worth picking up for sure, but I guess it really depends on your tastes. Do you like any of P.T. Anderson’s other movies (Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love)?
Posted by Sean on July 1st, 2006I didn’t see Punch Drunk Love, but I already got Magnolia. I was kinda torn on it the first time, I thought it was a wee bit long and that some of the characters perhaps weren’t interesting enough to have the amount of screentime they got.
The 2nd time I watched I really liked it, because I already knew the story and could focus on just enjoying the acting, and the individual situations. I wouldn’t say its one of my favorite films or anything, but I like it. It gave me faith that maybe Tom Cruise does have some acting chops, and I’m a huge John C. Reilly fan so I enjoyed him immensely.
But is Boogie Nights anything like Magnolia? Isn’t it about a porn star?
I think I’m worthy of your “Rant Alert”.
