Trailer For “The Last Kiss” Starring Zach Braff

I really enjoyed Garden State, despite that oh-so-controversial ending and the oh-so-hip indie rock soundtrack. And I’m definitely interested in Zach Braff’s next feature film, The Last Kiss. Here’s the thing: it wasn’t written and directed by Braff himself. It’s directed by a guy named Tony Goldwyn (incidentally, this was the name of my high school math teacher), and written by Paul Haggis of all people, who wrote the Oscar-winning films Crash and Million Dollar Baby (he also co-created Walker, Texas Ranger, but we won’t get into that). The movie seems to try and recreate the Garden State feel, but I have my doubts. It co-stars Casey Affleck, Jacinda Barrett, and The O.C.’s Rachel Bilson. Check out the trailer premiere over at AOL Moviefone now. The Last Kiss hits theatres on September 15th.

  1. i liked garden state alot so i am looking forward to seeing this flick.

  2. I’m looking forward to this, but for the record Paul Haggis is a piece of shit writer. Crash was the worst film I saw last year, hands down. The fact that it won Best Picture shows how meaningless the Academy Awards really are.

    Thank you, GOODNIGHT!

  3. You obviously didn’t see Domino then!

I didn’t hate Crash but I agree that Haggis’ involvement makes me think this whole movie could end up being very contrived. The only thing worse than Haggis trying to write another Oscar-worthy drama that tackles heavy issues is Haggis trying to write a hip and quirky coming-of-age comedy.
