HBO’s Deadwood To Wrap Up With Two TV Movies
The third season of HBO’s gritty wild west drama, Deadwood, premiered last Sunday. There has been a lot of concern from fans over the fact that this season will supposedly be the final one, since HBO decided to not to renew the contracts for any of the actors. With many storylines looking like they would be left unresolved, HBO reportedly offered series creator David Milch an opportunity to do a truncated 4th season of 6 episodes. He turned it down, feeling that it was not enough time to wrap things up since each episode represents one day in the life of the characters. Fortunately, it looks like they were able to work out their differences and agree on a concluding format that will work for all parties involved. The show will finish with two 2-hour movies, to air next year on HBO. Milch agreed that creatively the movie format makes more sense, allowing him to play with the timeline a bit. Deadwood airs Sunday nights at 10 pm on HBO (TMN in Canada).
